• December 28 - The first indoor professional American football game is played in New York City at Madison Square Garden.

Baseball

• April 23 - Luis Castro made his major league debut with the Philadelphia Athletics in the American League. He is the first baseball player from Colombia to play professional baseball in the United States. Likewise, Castro was the first Latin American ballplayer to play in Major League Baseball.

• The Winnipeg Maroons Win the first ever Northern League Championship.
