Amblève (river)

Amblève (-French, in German:Amel) is a river in eastern Belgium (province of Liège), tributary to the river Ourthe. Its source is in the Hautes Fagnes, close to the border with Germany near Büllingen. Tributaries of the Amblève are the rivers Warche and Salm. The Amblève flows through the towns Amel, Stavelot, Trois-Ponts, Remouchamps and Aywaille. At Coo , near Trois-Ponts, there is a well-known waterfall. The Amblève joins the river Ourthe in Comblain-au-Pont.
