Founded in 1907 and headquartered in Skokie, Illinois, the Bell & Howell Company merged with Böwe Systec Inc in 2002 to become Böwe Bell & Howell. Currently, the company provides document processing, scanners, and financial services.
Historically, Bell & Howell was an important supplier of consumer film products like movie projectors and motion picture cameras. A Bell & Howell camera captured the "Zapruder film" assassination of John F. Kennedy.
