Black Dog Productions

Black Dog Productions (or The Black Dog) were a musical trio that produced Spanners , a high point of the intelligent dance music genre. They also released music under the name Balil. Two members, Andy Turner and Ed Handley, went on to record as Plaid. The remaining member, Ken Downey, continues to record as Black Dog Productions. His last endeavour Unsavoury Products was produced with poet Black Sifichi. The album is an homage to William S. Burroughs.
