Bridgeport Sound Tigers

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers were founded in 2001 as the American Hockey League affiliate of the New York Islanders. The team colors are blue, yellow, black and white, and the logo is a tiger head predominantly in blue. They play at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Connecticut. They have been fairly successful during their time in the AHL, even making the Calder Cup Finals during their first season, losing to the Chicago Wolves four games to one. They were coached by current Islanders head coach Steve Stirling for their first two seasons, and have produced Islanders star Trent Hunter .
