C. Douglas Dillon

Clarence Douglas Dillon (Geneva August 21, 1909 - January 10, 2003) son of Clarence and Ann (Douglass) Dillon, was US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France (1953-1957) and 57th secretary of the United States Department of the Treasury (1961-1965).

He was vice president, then director, then chairman of the board of Dillon, Read and Company , cofounded by his father.

He received the Medal of Freedom in 1989.
