Cape Ann

Cape Ann is a rocky peninsula located in northeastern Massachusetts on the Atlantic Ocean. The cape is located approximately 30 miles northeast of Boston and forms the northern edge of Massachusetts Bay. The towns of Essex, Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport comprise Cape Ann.

The area is rich in history as it is home to some of the oldest fishing and shipbuilding ports on the East Coast of the United States. For the traveler, the area offers fantastic coastline scenery, whale watching, boating, scuba diving, and excellent hiking trails. Cape Ann is also home to two of the oldest artist colonies in the United States, and boasts numerous art galleries and antique shops.
