Carlos Manuel de Céspedez (born April 18, 1819 in Camagüey) was one of the generals "mambí warriors " (rebels who fought for the independence of Cuba) in the war against the Spaniards. He was captured and burnt by the Spaniards.
Some old stories tell that his ghost was flying of his body.
