Coming Home is a 1978 film which tells the story of a handicapped Vietnam War veteran's difficulty in re-entering civilian life after his return from the war. It stars Jane Fonda, Jon Voight, Bruce Dern, Penelope Milford , Robert Carradine and Robert Ginty.
The movie was written by Nancy Dowd , Robert C. Jones , Waldo Salt and Rudy Wurlitzer (uncredited). It was directed by Hal Ashby.
It won Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Jon Voight), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Jane Fonda) and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. It was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Bruce Dern), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Penelope Milford), Best Director, Best Film Editing and Best Picture.
Coming Home is also the name of a music recording by Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo.
