Cosby

Cosby was a popular American situation comedy television series broadcast on CBS Television from 1996 to 2000. The eponymous star of the series was Bill Cosby, who played Hilton Lucas, a man forced into early (and unwanted) retirement. His wife, Ruth, was played by Phylicia Rashad, who had also starred with Cosby in the epochial 1980s sitcom, The Cosby Show.

The show itself was based on the concept from the BBC series One Foot in the Grave, starring Richard Wilson. David Renwick was listed as executive producer on both shows.

Also appearing on the series was Madeline Kahn, who played Pauline Fox from 1996 until her death in 1999.

Cosby is also a small town in Cocke County, East Tennessee located near the border with North Carolina.
