Fanagalo language

Fanagalo is a language developed in South African mines. Originally it was constructed to allow for communication between the different workers on the mines who spoke a multitude of languages. This was because miners often travelled great distances, and were from different tribal or clan areas, to work in the rapidly growing mining industry. It was used primarily by the mine managers to instruct workers and as a result is now considered rude or disrespectful. Most phrases were simple commands and did not place much emphasis on interpersonal relationships.
