Fare control

Fare control refers to the area of a train station in which people are assumed to have paid their fare. On systems with turnstiles, this is the area between the turnstiles and the tracks; on proof-of-payment systems, it may be simply denoted by a line on the floor, beyond it is illegal to go without a ticket.
