Glory Be to the Father

Glory Be to the Father, also known as Gloria Patri, is a prayer of the Rosary, one of the central devotional practices in the Roman Catholic form of the Christian religion. The Glory Be prayer is prayed during the Rosary on the large beads which separate the five sets of ten smaller beads, called decades, upon each of which a Hail Mary is prayed.

The Glory Be is a simple doxology:

Glory be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be
World without end.
Amen.
Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto.
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper,
et in sęcula sęculorum,
Amen.

The wording of the Glory Be is similar to words used in the standard Roman Catholic Mass.

Similar wording is also used in Eastern Orthodox prayers, especially following a Psalm:

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
now and ever and unto ages of ages.
Amen.
