Immenstaad is a small town in Germany on the north shore of Lake Constance (Bodensee) near the Austrian and Swiss borders.
History
The first documented reference to Immenstaad dates to the Year 1094, when the Bavarian Duke Welf IV the acquired the posessions of the Weingarten Monastery. The controlling authorities were strongly factionalized until the Fürstenberg Family bought the entire town in the late 18th Century. In 1806 the town became a border town in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
