Jeffrey Loria was the owner of the Montreal Expos baseball team in the 1990's. He sold the team to Major League Baseball, and invested the money in the Florida Marlins, where he won a World Series title. Given the low attendance and lack of support for the team in Montreal, Loria was unable to make the Expos successful after the strike in 1994, after which the Expos lost most of their key players, including Larry Walker and Pedro Martínez.
