Kevin Sullivan is Connecticut's 106th lieutenant governor. He was elected to the state senate in 1986 and served as Senate President Pro Tempore from 1997-2004. Upon governor John Rowland's resignation, lieutenant governor M. Jodi Rell became governor. The Senate President, Sullivan, was then sworn in as lt. governor on July 1, 2004.
Sullivan is married to educator and West Hartford Town Councilwoman Dr. Carolyn Thornberry.
