Louis Armand II, Prince of Conti

Louis Armand II de Bourbon (November 10 1696 - May 4 1727) was Prince of Conti, from 1709 to his death, succeeding his father François Louis, Prince of Conti.

He was treated with great liberality by Louis XIV of France, and also by the regent the Duke Philippe II of Orléans. He served under Marshal Villars in the War of the Spanish Succession, but he lacked the soldierly qualities of his father. In 1713 he married Louise Elisabeth of Bourbon-Condé (1693-1775), daughter of Louis Henri de Bourbon , and grand-daughter of Louis XIV. Louis Armand was a prominent supporter of the financial schemes of John Law, by which he made large sums of money.

He was succeeded as prince de Conti by his only son, Louis François (1717-1776).
