Manpower Inc.

Manpower, Inc. is a temporary job agency headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the largest employer in the United States. It was established by Elmer Winter and Aaron Scheinfeld in 1948. It was acquired by Blue Arrow of Britain in 1987, but became independent again in 1991. Today Manpower has 4300 offices in 67 different countries. Its total sales equal $12.2 billion worldwide in 2003. It has a total staff of more than 25000 people, dealing with more than 2 million temp-workers each year.

Its logo is simply the word "MANPOWER" (all upper-case) in an serifeless font similar to Arial. Sometimes a stylised Person which resembles Leonardo da Vincis Vitruvian Man appears inside the "O".
