The Ministerie van Volksgezondheid is the public health authority of the Netherlands. The name is translated as Ministry of Public Health.
In 2005, the Ministerie announed changes to the health insurance fund's coverage, noting that it no longer would cover certain treatments, such anti-snoring treatments and treatments for convalescence after sterilization operations. However, the Ministerie noted that people paying for their own treatments could be eligible for tax deductions.
