NBC News is one of the 'big three' nationwide air and cable television news networks in the United States.

NBC News shows include Today weekday mornings (and its early morning variation Early Today ), NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams in the early evening, and the prime time series Dateline NBC, and the political opinion show Meet the Press on Sundays.

NBC News also provides content for the Internet and cable-only MSNBC and CNBC.

From 1982 to 1983 they aired a failed overnight news show, called NBC News at Overnight and from 1991 to 1999 they had another overnight news show called NBC Nightside . NBC currently plans to launch another overnight news show for the fall of 2005 or the spring of 2006.
