Norman Podhoretz (born January 16, 1930) is considered to be a "neo-con" (neo-conservative) and believed to be a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is connected with the Project for the New American Century.

He is the former editor-in-chief of "Commentary" (1960-95). From 1981-87, Podhoretz served with the U.S. Information Agency. He is a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute.
