Phuture

Phuture are a musical group. Their twelve-minute "Acid Trax" 12" Single from 1986 is one of several recordings that lay claim to being the first Acid House record, featuring evolving textures from the Roland TB-303 synthesiser. Three Band members are credited with writing this track (Jones, Smith, and Jackson), but the group is practically synonymous with one person, who uses the stage name "DJ Pierre".

The group also recorded under several pseudonyms, generally using the substitution of 'ph' for 'f', for example Pierre's Phantasy Club.
