Railroad Retirement Board

Created in the 1930's by the United States government, the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) established a retirement benefit program for the country's railroad workers. Considered a pioneer of modern day pension plans in America, today, the RRB serves U.S. railroad workers and their families and administers retirement, survivor, unemployment, and sickness benefits.
