Raymond Burke (clarinetist)

Raymond Burke (6 June, 1904 - 21 March, 1986) was a jazz clarinetist.

Burke was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and seldom left the city limits, as he disliked traveling. He was always highly regarded by his fellow musicians but was rather obscure with jazz fans until he appeared on many fine recordings in the 1960s.

He was a regular at Preservation Hall for many years, with Kid Thomas Valentine's band and other groups.
