Samuel Woodworth (1785 - 1842) was an American author and poet.

He is known for the poem The Old Oaken Bucket. This poem has been described as one of the most beautiful works in the English Language. The Old Oaken Bucket House in Scituate, MA is on the National Register of Historical Places .
