Slobomir is the name of a new town in Bosnia-Herzegovina (notably Republika Srpska), its name means: "the city of freedom and peace". It is located on the Drina river near Bijeljina. It was founded by Slobodan Pavlovic , a Bosnian philanthropist. It aims to be one of the major cities of post-war Bosnia (In fact, the city will be located in two countries, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia-Montenegro).
The new city of freedom and peace is under construction on the both sides of river Drina, next to the major road from Bijeljina to Bogatic , in the vicinity of "Pavlovic's bridge" which is connecting Republika Srpska and Serbia.
The most important buildings that will make the integrity of town are The Pavlovic’s tower – the biggest building on Balkan peninsula with 37 floors, Pavlovic International Bank, Duty free zone Slobomir, which has all benefits given buy the Government – low taxes, etc.
