Steven Thomas Avery (born April 14, 1970 in Trenton, Michigan) is a former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves (1990-96), Boston Red Sox (1997-98), Cincinnati Reds (1999) and Detroit Tigers (2003).

In an eleven-season career, Avery posted a 96-83 record with 980 strikeouts and a 4.19 ERA in 1554 2/3 innings pitched.
