Stewiacke is a town in Nova Scotia, Canada, 45 minutes from Halifax. It has a population of 1,388 and is located at the confluence of the Stewiacke River and the Shubenacadie River . It is a service and support centre for local agriculture. It is famous for Mastodon Ridge , a tourist attraction based on a local discovery of Mastodon bones. Stewiacke is located on the 45th parallel of North latitude, halfway between the Equator and the North Pole.
