Tomei Expressway

The Tōmei Expressway (東名高速道路) runs along the Pacific Coast of Honshu, Japan's main island, from Tokyo to Nagoya. The name "Tomei" (東名) consists of one kanji from each of the terminals: the former from Tokyo (東京) and the latter from Nagoya (名古屋).

It connects to the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway [1] system at Yōga (用賀), in Setagaya, Tokyo. This seamless junction is over Kampachi (環八), Tokyo's #8 ring road.

The other end is just north of Nagoya: the Komaki Junction, where it flows into the Meishin Expressway to Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe. It also meets the Chūō Expressway there.
