Ueno, Mie

Ueno (上野市; -shi) was a city located in Mie, Japan.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 61,753 and the density of 316.26 persons per km². The total area is 195.26 km².

The city was founded on September 10, 1941.

On November 1, 2004, Ueno merged with other communities to form the new city of Iga, Mie.
