Winston Tong is a San Francisco-based performer, known both as the singer for with the Avant-garde / Art-punk group, Tuxedomoon (1977-'85), and for his solo work as a musician, performance artist, actor/playwright, visual artist, and puppeteer.

Tong's intensely personal and unique approach to performance art has earned him an Obie award in puppetry (for "Bound Feet", 1978), as well as numerous references and quotes in theatre-related publicatons.

Recently, Tong was reunited with Tuxedomoon for two performances in San Francisco (March 2005) -- the first time they had performed together in 20 years!
